At the beginning I'll write about little-known genre of music and little-known representatives - Zeuhl. This strange-sounding word means in Kobaïan "celestial" or "heavenly", "unearthly". So what is the music, giving an impression that was not of this Earth, but another planet. And so it is. The first album of the precursor - Magma - tells a story about a group of people who escaped from contaminated ecologically Earth to the Kobaia planet. But after some time between Kobaïans - descendants of the original settlers - and escaped from Earth humans - is growing a conflict.
Zeuhl is a combination of symphonic and progressive rock, avant-rock and jazz.
Kobaïan language is a combination of Germanic and Slavic languages. Zeuhl has its origins in France, due to a Christian Vander, a Frenchman with Polish roots - his mother was Polish and it was she who instilled in the son passion for music. His father was a gypsy... By the footsteps of the French (Magma, Dün, Eskaton, Weidorje) also went the Japanese, creating new zeuhl bands - Koenjihyakkei, Ruins, Shub-Niggurath and Bondage Fruit. But his hand at the genre also tried Hungarians - Yochk'o Seffer and Solaris.
